Labor Day is a Fish Day
I butchered a 20lb frozen fish today for tomorrow's BBQ. Between the fish and the lobster, I had little time for learning today.
I learned how to use manual mode on my Nikon D5100 today. Now I know how to expose the photo correctly in full manual mode. After ten years of owning a Nikon D5100, I finally learned how to use it. ;-)
Learning Swift seems to follow a similar timeline. It has been at least 15 years since I used mac as my primary personal and work computer. It's been ten years since Mac has been my only computer operating system. I am surprised that it took me this long to get around to learn how to program it. I have written programs for Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, just about every operating system that I got my hands on. Yes, there have been Perl, Ruby, and Automator/Shortcuts. Still, nothing native for macOS. I remember learning Objective-C a few years back, but no trace of any useful program left in my disk archive. Hopefully, this time is different.
BTW, Day 24 of SwiftUI is almost done.
